IEMS Test utility

Use the IEMS Test utility to verify that the BlackBerry Enterprise Server service account can access user mailboxes

Environment •

 BlackBerry® Enterprise Server for Microsoft® Exchange In certain situations, system administrators may need a quick method to test whether the BlackBerry Enterprise Server service account can access a BlackBerry smartphone user’s mailbox. This can be accomplished by running the IEMSTest.exe file.

To run the IEMSTest.exe file, complete the following steps:

 1. Log in to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server service account (for example, BESAdmin).

2. Open a command prompt, then type cd C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Utility

 3. Type IEMSTest.exe and press ENTER.

 4. At the Choose Profile prompt, select the Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) profile that points to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Administrator mailbox (typically BlackBerry Server), then click OK.

 5. At the Select Mailbox prompt, select the mailbox to be verified, click Select, and click OK.
